I am a certified Interior Decorator and member of Certified Interior Decorators International (C.I.D.). I welcome the challenge of new homes, remodels and existing homes. I love creating a retreat in primary or secondary homes. And most importantly, I love collaborating with you to bring your vision to life!

Originally a North Carolina native, I studied Biology and Microbiology at North Caroline State University. However, upon graduating I found myself in business from the start. The majority of my career has been in marketing, sales and business development for very large corporations. In marketing, I found myself drawn to the creative aspect as well as the collaboration and business side. For many years, I managed the marketing plans for the company’s largest clients. These years helped me hone my skills as a collaborator. I brought my clients’ goals to life and that excited me.

Upon moving to Dallas, I continued my marketing career until my first daughter arrived. After taking time off while my two beautiful daughters were little, I found myself drawn again to creative projects. After building my own home and working on several projects for friends and family, I decided to start my own interior decorating business, Sowell Home Collaborative.

When I am not decorating, I love to spend time with my family. My girls are huge crafters and love a good movie night. My husband and I love the outdoors and playing golf together. We love to travel and regularly spend time in California.
